Hi Brian and Clare, I don't know if you are still sailing, but I read an old Cruisers and Sailing Forum and you seem to know quite a bit about Aries wind vanes. I bought an old one and can't find instructions about 1. How to attach the steering control lines to above the rudder before they lead to the pulleys on the lower legs. Do I use stop knots through the holes for this line above the rudder or can the line be one piece?
How much "travel" the lines that lead to the wheel will have. Can the Aries turn my wheel from stop to stop?

I have to install the ability to "break" the lines that lead from the Aries to the wheel, to access the lazarette on the stern, so that is why I am questioning the "travel" of these lines that go to the wheel. I can't have the "break fittings" hitting the Aries or the first universal block.

I hope you can provide some insight. Thanks, George DuBose
