I'm currently in the UK and have had my covid vaccine, so I'm hopeful that getting to Greece shouldn't be too much of a problem. This would be my first boat, and ideally I would be taking her out into the Atlantic for some longer journeys. I was wondering if on any of your longer passages you've used the autopilot much and if so, if you know how much power it uses? Also if you have an idea of how long you might be running the engine to keep the batteries charged when sailing for an extended period using the autopilot, and how that impacts fuel consumption?
Apart from those technical questions I would just say that she looks very well maintained and I hope to be able to arrange to visit Lefkas in the near future.

I was just trying to do some research into Gib'Sea 52.2 Masters and I came across the thread on cruisers forum and realised that the boat I'm interested in, is yours. I hope you don't mind me contacting you directly? I have been in touch with the broker and they have been very helpful and informative, but I just thought I would reach out to you as it sounds like you have a lot of love for Gaia and I have a couple of questions that I hoped you might be able to answer.
I did my first real ocean crossing aboard another 52.2 master "Almudena" from Saint Martin to the Azores almost 10 years ago, with just myself and the owner on board. It wasn't the smoothest of trips but it really got me hooked, and thinking back I've often thought she handled very well. Since that trip I've often wondered about the possibility of having my own Gib'Sea 52.2 and maybe now is the right time.
