Good morning. I am purchasing a 40 foot sailboat in the BVI's. I have fairly inexperienced crew. Would you mind letting me know how much you would charge to skipper the boat to Toronto, Canada. Also, how long it would take. Thanks so much, I look forward to hearing from you. Kindest regards, Beverly

    Hi there,
Just quick message re boat delivery. I'm uk firefighter counting down the short days to retire. I'll have a bit of a lump sum to buy a liveaboard and live on it in Cardiff bay.
I can't find my dream boat in this country so looks like I'll have to buy abroad. Sorry to dive straight in like this but would you be able to help me sail it to the French canals? Or would you know someone who could help please, and also what sort of costs would this incure?
It will be a decent seaworthy boat and I'll have a survey done before buying. I've limited sailing experience but have powerboated and hold shorebased ocean yacht master (I rowed the Atlantic from lagomera to Barbados, 7 weeks as an unsupported pairs). I'll be doing the competent crew with Sunsail in Croatia in April and bringing the boat back will all be part of my adventure. Hope you don't mind me messaging you, you were highly recommended by an admin.
I appreciate any advice or help.
    Many thanks
    John Haskell

Thanks for the info, will be dipping my toe in the Gulf for a week of sailing next month. What do you sail now?
  4. Dockhand
You listed that you sailed a Beneteau 321 in a Atlantic crossing. I have a 311 which is very close in spec to the 321. Just looking for what you thoughts are of the seaworthiness of the 321, also what equipment did you have on it? I'm looking to take my 311 to east coast, Bahamas, but question the size. I have sailed a 30' off the west coast before an was fine but it was nice weather.

    Hey Boatman,

Thanks for the friendship! I am British by birth, American by default. My Uncle, who is British, lives in London, 70+ years old has commisioned me to find a suitable catamaran, 45 to 50 ft. to sail in the Caribbean or Malaysia. Looking for a Blue water capable cat that can sail.
Voyage, Leopard 46, Catana, are on my short list. Any suggestions? I know that you have a lifetime of experience, would appreciate your opinions...

    Warmest Regards,

    meatservo

Hi there! I will be returning to Cartagena Spain in early February. You still in Portugal? I was thinking about eventually cruising over to Faro in the summer. Have you been there?
