Hi, I hope she does I think she is prepared and knows she is excited and wants to go. If she does not like it she can always leave. But she is really into the outdoors and is not really afraid of the cold...she does like the sun. But has lived in the midwest and West Va on a mountain so knows about the rain and dreary days. But it looks beautiful there. I was afraid there would be nothing there for her to do. But she will be happy with chinese food at least. She is going to bring a lot of shampoo and conditioner and basic things enough for at least 6 months. Thinking that things are more expensive or she may not be able to get the same things there. And her make up! We must not forget that...she is worried about that.

    Hi Astrid,
I just wanted to thank you for the very nice compliment you gave me on the watermaker thread yesterday. That was very kind. If I can every be of any assitance don't hesitate to ask.
    Best Regards Tellie

We have been absolutely covered up with trauma today. I have a gun shot wound to the elbow, bite wound to the neck and a hit by car. I put a cast on a tibia 6 weeks ago. It came in today and the radiographs looked like a fresh break. Oh, and 8 spays this morning plus all the normal puppy shots and sneezing cats.....normal stuff.

    How have you been lately?

    Beautiful picture.

Please don't make a fuss- keep your boat in the shape you like it in. I will be cruising with my Valient. And I will be very low key-just enjoying the water and visiting friends along the way. I will give you a heads up closer in

I guess I have a slightly selfish reason for asking. I am thinking about making the trip to Alaska next summer- We would probably like to say hello if it is not too much of an inconvience to you. I know you are pretty busy, but getting a meal for a kindred spirit would be an honor.

Hows the vet? Haven't heard much from you lately- is flying keeping you busy?

Alright! Now if I could just get my boat up there. I'm not looking forward to paying to have her shipped over land, but I don't have the time or resources to sail around. Maybe I'll just have to sell it and buy a different boat. Have you seen many sailboats up there. Most ads I see seem to be for motor vessels. And what are the wind conditions like? I assume it's good for kayaking, but what about sailing in between islands, fjords, and glaciers?
Thanks for getting back to me.

I am of Icelandic heritage and share my boat with Lynn and a cat named Hayden. Hayden likes to sail with me but is not too keen on flying with me; Lynn on the other hand likes sailing with me and flying with me. I grew up around boats (my brothers fishing trawler and my father's sailboat). I helped crew the sailboat when my father, brother and I sailed it from Iceland to British Columbia. In high school, I was an RC Sea Cadet, four years in college and five years in the Maritime Command (now RCN). Following that, I got a degree DVM at CSU in Colorado.
