Saw your post about sailing south.
I'm living on the Richelieu river not far from US border presently.
I have been through the Intracoastal system once before, am a marine mechanic, 65, on pension too and am considering a voyage south on a boat.
We could communicate and I'd be happy to answer any boat questions you may have.
