Ah, hobbies....being as how I am retired and living ashore there is plenty of room for hobbies. Woodworking, RC model airplanes, land boat camping (20' camp trailer) Hot Air Ballooning, Wine drinking (having evolved past wine 'tasting')

Biography

While I no longer live aboard, I built Valkyrie in the early 70's and traveled for 12 years or so, 50,000 miles in the Pacific. Alaska a couple of times, Hawaii, Tahiti, Mexico and up and down the West Coast. Moved ashore in the late mid 80's and started what became the largest commercial hot air balloon ride business in the Pac NW. Somewhat comparable skill/judgement sets, I guess. Sold the business a year ago and am enjoying doing just the flying part, not the answering phones and organisational tasks. I've always missed the water, but it was 20 of the best years. Right now, I'm on here attempting to re-connect with Dale Stennett (Another charter member of the Foster City Funky Barge Band) who last I heard was rebuilding the waterworld tri.
