- Worked mainly in power plant construction world wide for installation, commissioning and repair. My last 10years of full time contracting was mainly on process pumping systems for refineries and offshore platforms. I sail mainly in and around the Hauraki Gulf and surrounding Islands of NZ but have also sailed cross channel voyages UK- France- Belgium - Holland. Blue water sails round NZ and NZ to Noumea in various boats. I belong to Pine Harbour Cruising Club and Waikato Yacht Squadron and over the years have filled the normal flag officer roles up to Commodore for a couple of years. I spent the last 15 years of my working career based in Singapore, a great city to work Asia from but not a lot of wind. NZ has been home base for 40 years.
