THANKS RICHARD. when i was in NZ the accumulator sprung a leak and the guy who came to fix it ripped out the accumulator saying you dont needthis so the fridge worked for two years or so and then was regassed recently. the compressor got louder and now bangs about for the 10-20 seconds i have had it running. before it got really noisy it stopped cooling and got very hot. the thing must be 70's and probably needs a rebuild now so am going to look at a Sanden as suggested which should be quieter anyway. The question is will i have to reinstall an accumulator. The system runs fridge with one holding plate and a freezer with two holding plates. There are two TX Valves.
