The nantucket clipper is a strong hull with not so strong fittings. We have rebuilt a lot of her over time to strengthen everything. Offshore she is a little small but ok in low latitudes when the wind is aft of the beam. She has pretty good light weather performance that keeps the averages up. We use the monitor windvane self steering and would not be without it offshore. She has tiller steering. The original engine was a lister petter and i put in a beta marine14hp 3 years ago shaft driven with a standard two bladed prop.

How do you like your nantucket clipper? Do you find it suitable for offshore? Do you have a wheel or tiller and any self steering? Is there any way a windvane would fit on the back? Do you have the Sabb 8hp with vari prop? Is it a goo and reliable engine?
