Comments on equipment: we've got wind generator (KISS), 2 solar panels @ 100W, total 260 Ah AGM batteries for house bank (NOT ENOUGH for going on long ocean passages - if we are running - our solar + wind don't provide enough electricity to sustain autopilot, fridge, radio, nav lights, and INFREQUENT radar, nav for the passage) - it's enough for indefinite stays in sometimes windy, frequently sunny anchorages, AIS (would not go anywhere without it), para anchor (Fiorentino - very happy with it), NO watermaker, but a Seagull water filter (strongly recommend it), feathering Vari-prop with a rope cutter (also strongly recommend both), mostly LED lighting with some regular for ambiance, no SSB (decided was too much pain to install it), but Iridium (now there're other options).
