    Thank you for all the info you have posted. I hope you can direct me to a specific area to read or to post this question and hope it is OK to contact you in this manner for direction and advice.


    I am working on installing M-802 on a Nauticat 33 Ketch. The best "backstay" for an antenna is one of the two split mainmast stays that terminate on the top of the cabin before the aft deck. The easiest location for the AT is in the aft locker, directly below and perhaps four feet below cabin top. This locker is located between the aft cabin sleeping area and the seating in the pilot house. Thus the antenna lead would run close to a sleeping area and a lounging area on its way to the backstay. My concern is regarding RF exposure. Would it make more sense to put the AT directly under the cabin top where backstay starts and reduce the antenna lead length? This greatly increases the ground strap installation. Thanks, David
