Sorry I'm just now seeing your reply, but man that validates everything we knew about that SOB.....he took me for $1300 total and although I did get what I needed out of it, it pains me that he's the one who got my money - completely worthless!! And yes, he did copy and paste our survey too as there were so many inconsistencies and even items that he "inspected" that weren't even on our boat. Anyway, thanks for the update.

You couldnt be more correct about J Sands, I found out he lost his accreditation with NAMS and SAMS and even ABYC, they wont allow him back in either. He copies and pastes surveys, screwed 2 friends of mine on their surveys, His surveys would cost owners their policies if the insurance companies found out he wasnt accredited, and yet he keeps taking peoples money. I hear he is now working as a Broker for the Catamaran Company. Probably scamming their customers too somehow.

I don't know what surveyor to use, but I know who not to use - thought I would PM you instead of posting it on the forum. But don't use Jonathan Sands - he was horrible on my boat with tons of inconsistencies and ran into a fellow sailor along the thorny path that said he used him for his purchase and he thought the same thing but only for different reasons. He comes recommended by brokers, but not from sailboat owners.
