hey Phil! did you say boat shopping... am STILL at it too. grief, how many years are gonna pass without finding my gal? anyhow just gave 20 euros to the marina here in normandie to get back on their waiting list (spent 5 years on it last time... before my number popped up). put in for a 10m boat - and it must be between 10m and 10m99 or the frenchie-folk won't let one park. anyhow, am trying to stay sane, back again into hermit-state. having spent an enormous amount of time reading/learning about economics and where the world is headed..., now i think i just need to move to a marina, find my people, and make life as simple and straight-forward as possible. good things to you, good man

hey Phil, hope you are well. all good for this sailboat-junkie! had a fantastic sail july, valencia to port nap! old friend, a gent. we had so many breakdowns, got to learn so much about the diesel engine!!!! fuel filters and deskill bugs and fan belts and bleeding the engine is no longer a mystery. wonderful month, july. august was landlocked, house-sitting: ouch! been watching and waiting to see how the covid-cards fall (well, no, am watching the economy like a hawk) and will go from there... still hoping, just wishing the world wasn't looking so pale... hope you are well! big hugz

Hey Phil,
The boat show and the fisher didn't actually happen in dusseldorf this year, so i didn't get to smile in the freezing rain in the cockpit again (bummer). BUT the broker says he will keep me in the loop, that he wants me to do the job in the future. yes! fingers crossed! As for the house, it is coming along slowly but surely. i paint well. not yet sure what to do with it. gotta live somewhere until i find my boat. yes, am squeezing the toothpaste tube pretty tightly still, saving as i do yet might be getting a bit too skinny -- we should be emailing...

Hey Wolfie,
Good to hear from you.. and that your attacking your home with sander, paint etc.. still working on the AirB&B idea.. or off on another tangent.
Also hope throwing off old shackles is working out well for you and your enjoying new won freedoms like more time to sail.
How did the Boat Show with the Fisher go, loadsa new faces and contacts I bet..
Anyway, will quit now as a public messaging formats not best for being nosey.. lol.
Be well, be safe..
Big hugz,
Phil.

Hey, just checking in with my dear friend and favourite sea captain.
how are you? winter-damp days these days... need some sunshine!
well, am officially disentangled but suddenly up to my ears in jumping frenchie hoops (how they make one jump and pay, jump and pay!). freedom at 55, yes, -- just about. more concretely, i am sanding and painting walls and clearing out memories (tears for nevermore, nevermore), not much by way of fun. but yes, am still working on my plan, though...., lately perhaps, i've managed to go from frying pan into the fire (am not proud, please don't ask). a standing question: to be a part of this (or any) society or bag it? ... in any case, i am still out here and striving. big kiss!
