Its not that bad really.. she's a dinkey little thing... be a lot easier than the Hunter 37...
Hey good news on the crew.. hope they turn out to be gems and the adventure is a grand one.. its a shame the timing was out for me to crew but hell... its a small world out there...lol
Keep me posted as to your progress if thats okay with you.. be nice to know how your doing
    Take it Easy.... P

Your refit sounds like a real challenge! I know so little about how to do anything on the boat I tend to hire someone else to do it. Bye Bye $$!! Haha!
I have found crew, all of whom will fly themselves to and from the boat. My boat is also small for sharing. The only cabin with a door is the vee berth where I sleep. Crew has to take the quarterberth, or the setee which folds out to a double.
I do worry about compatibility, but I'm pretty easy going, so they have to be really bad to be a problem for me. I exchange a bunch of emails to get a sense of personality then rely on my judgement.
I've got 2 who are willing to stay to Panama. For me that' a big plus. So wish me luck.
    Wish it was you!

As for the crossing... yup I'll definitly be doing it solo... 21fts to little for me to have someone else on board... unless she's early 20's and petite.... lol
    I can dream....
I did not enjoy the BVI's much either... St Martins is a bit of a struggle from there into the wind but worth it for the French side... Dutch side is very American these days with pole dance bars etc... still some 'nice places' tho if your prepared to catch a bus...
Any joy with a crew yet.. or are you a bit wary of whats on offer... cant say I blame you... I find strangers hard to consider as sailing partners... would rather have some ideas of strengths and weakness's before casting of the docklines.. liking a person makes all the difference in stress situations... less likely to chuck em overbaord...LMAO..

Hey Margo... finally got the boat out last week, what a laugh.. first the fixed crane could not lift her enough to get her across the dock... so a mobile crane nearby was 'recruited'... then the guy hauled over a M/boat trailer to move the boat... reckoned a few lashings would hold her up... wotta dork..
Eventually convinced him she'd fall over in the first few feet... so a flat bed truck was hijacked for the move... so she's now on shore and the interior wood and exterior grab rails are being sanded and varnished.. when the rain stops its remove all the deck fittings.. waiting for the toilet n hatch to arrive...

    Hey Phil,

I only speak the truth! How's the refit going? Would you single hand across the pond?

Thanks for the St. Martin suggestion. Originally I was going to skip the BVIs, but so many were saying "Don't miss it". But I don't really like the crowds.

Hello Margo.... might be coming over if my refit goes ok... gotta stop the soggy bunk... but hope to be back afloat before X-mas. Like your suggestion to Zee about swopping crew at Panama... get me back to my boat...lol
Suggest you visit St Martin.. just past the BVI's... duty free and the French side is excellent if you like good food and wine... also free to stay there anchored in Marigot Bay or in the Lagoon... BVI's cost loads..
Phil (xx for saying I'm Handsome...lol)

No problem - I got that. But there was no enclosure. I [probably can't afford you anyway! LOL
What's with the hitler moustache? You seem more of an anarchist to me than a fascist.
