I've still got some to finish off with the electrical (mainly on the starting and generating) and it is getting a bit hazy now but not to worry as I've downloaded the whole thread.
I really hesitate about starting a new thread now and I won't unless I'm actually working on the problem on my yacht. The guys are incredibly helpful.
I would have thought with your experience and expertise you'd be more than at home on the construction, electrical, navigational/OpenCPN and....? threads.
I feel PBO is more for yacht owners (mostly non-technical) whereas the Cruising Forums (that I look at) are more technical which is what I really need at this point in time.
I will certainly keep any eye out for your future posts.

Hi Roger I discovered you message by error! (I must have clicked the wrong button).
When I think about it I have read a number of posts from Distant_Shaws and although I immediately thought of you the penny hadn't dropped that it was actually you.
I've got a huge amount of help from the different Cruising Forums - Electrical Construction and now, Navigation. The amount of help is quite embarrassing and it is all expert help too. Sometimes the guys don't agree but when they put their cases I am able to understand and make a decision myself: extremely educational.
