I've been reading your very knowledgeable posts on cats for a while now. I was wondering if I could ask your advice. I've recently sold my 37 foot sloop and want to get a cat. I want one for performance and my family prefer them for comfort. But I don't have much of a budget. About 70K is all I have to spend. I'm thinking of finishing the fitout on someone's 30-35 foot project as a way into cruising cats. I enjoy working on boats. I have seen a project up for sale near Lake Tuggerah ( I'm in Sydney). It's ugly, but my question is, "will it sail like a dog?" I imagine it might be available reasonably below its asking price. I'd be interested in your thoughts.
