Good luck. Let me know how it works out.

No that is okay. Will continue to look for someone with a C&C33/34 who has a tiller so that I can get a better idea of how the tiller looks and were they put the controls.
    Thanks again.

I could take a picture of the emergency tiller if that would help.
  4. devilfish
Yes it does, and it should be easy to change. I was trying to find out what the tiller head and tiller looked like and were they put the engine and transmission controls.

Sorry I cant help. My last boat had a wheel that was removed to go back to a tiller. It really opens up the cockpit on a small boat. Does the 33 have the emergency tiller fitting sticking out of the floor in the back of the cockpit. If so, it should be pretty easy to make the change.

Yes it did come with a wheel. However, the traveller/main sheet is up by the companionway and hard to get to while single handed sailing. Also, have been sailing with a tiller for the last fifteen years and miss the feel and response you get with a tiller. I know the boat was designed with a tiller but can't seem to find anyone who has one. Have tried cncphotoalbum but can't find much info on the tiller. That is why I am trying to contact anyone that has changed from wheel to tiller.

Didn't that boat come with a wheel? Why get rid of the wheel? I haven't sailed one, but the 33 looks like it has plenty of room in the cockpit. Try cncphotoalbum.com its kind of the C&C place to be. Good luck.

I have a C&C 33 Mk1 with wheel steering and was planning on changing back to tiller steering. Any tips?
