Well, the truth is I made the Willard Group -- but no one is a member. I started the group and literally ended up posting idiotic questions back and forth to myself. I was bored and it was during one of the darker points in my life! I was umm..... being rather silly to say the least! Unfortunately, after I had my fun, I could not figure out how to delete the group. So it sits and awaits new life....
I edited the group settings and now she is open to all. See if you can get in and post -- but there really is nothing there. All the pictures I have of my boat are in the albums here in my profile.
I will give you a call near the end of the week. You folks live in Chula Vista?
Don't be so hard on her. We bored her to tears with how to identify the hull number and date of launch. Anyway, at least we're making contact now.
Back then we were beginning what became a 7 week cruise up to Santa Cruz Island where our transmission died 1.5 miles from the anchorage. We sailed back, taking five nights and days and arriving off Point Loma during a thunderstorm on the 19th. After 2 weeks to recover from the sleep deprivation and attend our 2nd grandson's birth, we are now in the repair mode.
Star Light (formerly Star Chase, formerly Agape) is our home down in the California Yacht Marina in Chula Vista. We'd love to see your boat, show you ours, and pick your brains. Looks like you've done many of the things we have, many others we need to, and done them well. By the way, did your transmission work as well as it looked? And if so, would you have the phone for the repairman?
Call me, Brad, at 858-204-1285. And so, how do we join the Willard group?
I heard a couple came by the boat! A friend of mine was here and mentioned it. I was utterly aghast that she not only did NOT get your name a number since you have a willard, but she did NOT even invite you on board for a rum and coke. Aghast! When are you going to post some pictures of your boat?? Where are you folks berthed?
I think my wife and I kayaked by your boat back in August while you were away doing the mast dance. We just got back from our 7 week cruise, found your posts here, and have now joined this forum. Having worked on our boat since day one of ownership (5 years ago), we are impressed with what you've done with yours.
BTW, on our dock is another Willard owned by another Brad. And he has the original sales brochure with poster.
So, I'm glad we found your posts. Thank you for taking the time to post. Ahhh, did you know that there seems to be no way to join the Willard group? The choice to join is not part of the banner like all the other groups.
