On my own I am not a "native ENG speaker". Mostly I try to translate from German (As Danish you might understand the wise slogan: "Der Klügere gibt nach, und die Dummen regieren die Welt." I suppose it was not said so by Edmund Burke.).

I am always thankfully for corrections of my sometimes akward sounding "ENG". :-)

P.S.: May I ask: What means "former Danish person" ? You emigrated to another country or even continent ? - I loved to sail in summer the Danish coasts in Baltic Sea ("Danish South Sea" or as we say in German "Dänische Südsee").

Because the phrase "The wiser head gives in. And as consequence the (silly acting) apeth reigns the world." may seem a little confusing to the poor benighted souls on this forum who speak only English, and who are not versed in literature generally, I thot I'd give you the English equivalent, said by the great English philosopher and student of politics and economics Edmund Burke some 200 years ago: "All that is required for evil to prosper is that good men do nothing"
