    1. Pink or blue foam? Pink is a little less R value, but more water resistant than blue?. Am I correct?
I can't answer but water proof is extruded with a slick sealed surface.
    2. If the box is 5 cubic foot with inside surface area of 17.94 sq. Ft. Will 5 inches of insulation work? Blue is R6.6/in. Pink I R5/in. ?

Calder recommends the Dole Blue board.
Five inches is good inches for 5 cubic ft refrigerator temperatures even in tropical weather but the BD35 compressor and evaporator are too small for freezer temps.

Correct me if I’m wrong. It’s been a long time since I’ve done this. Your book survived a pretty good soaking coming back from Panama.
I wish isotherm would give you a capacity for their equipment.

I would like to point out the Isotherm's HP through hull condenser needs regular cleaning especially if used as sink drain. It is a good idea to monitor amp draw of refrigeration one and a while as amp increase indicates HP condenser is less efficient.

    Hi Richard
I still have your book and it has a ton of miles on it. I originally built a double sided dual cold plate system with water cooling on the engine and 12v systems with your book. That was back in 1998. But I had rebuilt the box with white ice chest foam in Mazatlan. I’m simplifying lot of maintenance.
Then I got a isotherm 2351 on defender sale. I’m gutting the box and reinsulating before I install it.
    Couple questions.

    Thanks for the awesome read
