Thanks for the clarification on the jack cravelle. I was wondering about that and just went along with my friend's classification. I have caught jack cravelles before while spec fishing in TX. Of course never landed one given the tackle I was using. This jack ripped the reel out of the reel mounts on the rod; they do fight incredibly hard.

We did eat it. Olive oil, pepper, and garlic salt. We had in our head it was a tuna so we thought it tasted great. Thanks again,
