Somehow stumbled on this message list and didn't know it existed. The boat is painted with an industrial linear polyurethane, Valspar DIC, and the color was mixed off a color sheet and is D86. The photos are somewhat decieving in picking up the color. Guess you could call it teal though it's more a greyish blue and not as dark as it often shows in photos. The boat doesn't seem to be significantly warmer than when it was white before. Wouldn't go with a navy blue, black or dark green if you are going to be in tropical waters. If I was going to spend all that money to get the boat painted wasn't going to have it a blah white.

The Campbell prop is now working. The prop people suggested a higher numerically geared transmission if I wanted to get it to spin higher than 2800 rpm. Found a used 2.6-1 geared transmission to replace the 2.2-1 and all is now fine. Want to buy a low hours Kanzaki KM2 with 2.21 gearing for your Yanmar??

    Hi there-
Love the pictures of your P35. Beautiful boat. Did you ever get the campbell sailor prop to work?
Here's a question- what's your topsides color- does it stay relatively cool? Our current 1987 S&S T40 (replaced our Luders 33 for growing family size) is white awlgrip and we're wondering down the road whether we may paint it a darker color. Not sure I want to subject the hull to dark colors so we are thinking lighter shades for less heat.

    Best,
    Mike
