UU, sorry to be so long in reply, but I don't review my profile comments regularly.

My wind vane was home designed and built, but used the basic principals of the commercial Auto-Helm vane. Used a better rudder profile, similar trimtrab and drive arrangement. worked well, drove the boat for several tens of thousands of sea miles.
