Thank you Carliane, same for me, though I haven't bought any scuba gear yet here, but owning a boat sort of makes it a must.. No more cave diving for now.. I just can't do it all at the same time, and it is very physically demanding as you know. In 2-3 years I plan on leaving for a long cruise, where, I haven't decided yet, probably around the Mediterranean first then through Gibraltar, then who knows...
    Take care :-)

Hi Gil, I still have family in Florida (actually in France, too), but now live in Oakland, CA and the only diving I seem to do is either under my boat or with the Sheriff's dive team on search and recovery operations. I don't recall meeting Herve though the name sounds familiar. I am glad to hear all is better now with you and your new boat

What a small world. Do you know Hervé Deschamps? He is another Frenchman I did some diving with who did dive a bit with the WKPP. I don't cave dive anymore, but I started sailing in 2015. Now I live in France. I was mostly diving around the Branford area, Little River, Ginnie Springs, Wayne's World, Hospital Hole, and many other around central Florida. Losing that boat was hard. I couldn't watch sailing videos anymore for three years after that. Now I have a new boat and things are looking better. I miss Florida though! Do you still cave dive? Still in Florida?
    Have a great day,
    Gil.

Hi Gil, yes I did both. I mostly dove with the WKPP around Tallahassee. I was getting my full cave certification with Parker Turner when the accident occurred at Indian Springs in 91. I believe I left it all behind around the late 90s. Now I do search and recovery for the sheriff's department It's total black water diving -- lights are useless -- but the line is still there to tell us where to go. We call it "dope on a rope." Suits me Perhaps our paths did not cross if you started diving in the aughts. Are you still cave diving?

Oh, I see from your profile that you were the one who lost the boat in the Bahamas. That tore my heart out to hear your mishap. How are you doing? I see you have a new boat. Glad you were able to get back into sailing.

Hello. Just curious, did you cave-dive in Florida? Gainsville area or up north, WKPP...? Around what year? I did a lot of cave diving around 2000, Little River, Branford area, Ginnie Springs, etc...

    Gil.
