Just to introduce myself as a fellow cat owner in NC. I live in Orange county, NC and bought a 34' Prout recently. Been a sailor for quite awhile but new to cats. Right now Alert is on the St Johns at Green Cove springs Marina. Going to do a haul out to check the rudders before I do any ocean sailing. I see you're hoping to go to the Bahamas with more experience. I spent 6 weeks there two years ago and went on a 23' Compac, I stayed in the Sea of Abaco, well protected there and wonderful. Still a work in progress on the Prout, the former owner is also from NC and bought a bigger cat. Where do you keep your boat?
