    Hello Captain!,

I have some questions for you! My wife and I have long term plans of sailing south to the Virgins and beyond from the East Coast for the winters(leaving November and returning in May) .

We would either purchase a "dockominium" style fee simple boat slip, or find a nice marina/yard where we would store our boat on the hard while back in Wisconsin for the summer and fall. The dockominium could be a potential investment opportunity as well. What are your thoughts on Beaufort/Morehead City? I haven't been there but from everything I have read it sounds like a great spot that would fit our plan well. We could sail the "I-66" routh south or even take the "thornless path".

We currently sail on Lake Superior in the summer and this has been striclty aboard IP Yachts in the 40' range. Our next trip will be to the USVI with Island Yachts. We are about 15 yrs. away from buying our own IP. Any advice/thoughts are appreciated!
