Yes, I did - really interesting! Especially when they said they could have halved the number of motors/kW...
We had a paper evaluation by OceanVolt who said that we could get about 7.3kn with 26kW at the shaft (ignoring the 50-60% prop efficiency), and 5kn with 4kW at the shaft. We'll probably be happy enough at 5-5.5kn electric, so we're thinking of a parallel hybrid on one of our two diesels, OR replacing one entirely with a larger electric like 25kW.
You'll perhaps enjoy that we got a quote recently from Transfluid for their hybrid parallel system - about 45,000 euro per diesel engine that you already have...gulp!
