Our family, the Leonard Family, is planning a 3 year circumnavigation beginning in the summer of 2011. At the time of departure, we will have three boys with us, ages 5, 9 and 11.

The goal of this group is to start to build a community of families with similar plans, who are interested is running into each other along the way. (Hopefully not literally.)

Welcome Aboard!

The 1st rule of $50CC is - there are no rules!

But there is an Ethos:-

- to share a slice of the real life Cruising experience on the basis of mutual respect -

This translates into sharing the financial cost of life aboard. Whilst Host Skippers are happy to share their time, experience and lifestyle - also financially subsidising Crew Guests is above and beyond! Therefore Crew Guests also subscribe to The Ethos by meeting the expense of their time aboard, not simply for immediate consumables (food, drink etc) but also towards the boat running costs.

Ok this group might not be for everyone, but I think there are enough people in the boating community that do sail naked. To warrent this group.

Wheather its women and men being topless or totally nude. There are those of us that enjoy the freedom of sailing in our birthday suits and sun bathing naked.

I am sure I am not the only one with a " Willy T" T-shirt.

So Here is a new group. A lifestyle of sailors and cruisers, or for anyone that just loves to enjoy life and let loose.

If you do choose to post pictures please keep it clean.

Welcome to Alaska Inside Passage Cruising and Crewing the dream. I am looking for creative information and realistic adventures and charts for sailing the inside passage. Love to here your experiences with crewing and having crew on your sail boat.
Tell me all the problems and great things that happen when sailing the inside passage, especially what not to do and the best ever attractions. I want to know where to anchor safely, how to get help when in difficult situations and contracts for crewing someones sail boat, is there such a thing?

WELCOME TO THE MERMAIDS GROUP | This group is for women sailors, single handers, and boat owners to share ideas and experiences. Mermaids are an independent lot so figured it would be a good name for a group made up of women who love the water, sailing, and adventure. After joining please post a quick hello in the Welcome thread.

Hi we are fairly new to living aboard and cruising and are sailing with our best friend Skye. Skye is a 10 year old Golden Retriever, who is sure she is part kitten and part human. We are on a fast learning curve and about to head to the Bahamas and Carribean. As yet we have little advice to share with you but hope to learn and then pass on our knowledge to others. Also meet others on our adventures along the way.

Anyone out there who would like to share ownership 50/50 of a 45ft catamaran which we could choose together and agree on sailing usage, etc? I hope I don't sound too vague but I would like to hear back from as many people as possible to see what can be arranged so if you would like to own a catamaran but don't think you would get sufficient usage to make it financially viable then please contact me and we can take it from there.
