The text actually goes thru Garmin so if any plans' phone can reach the internet it shouldn't have a problem.

I use Spot Trace on my yacht. Inexpensive and reliable https://www.findmespot.com/en-us/pro...ces/spot-trace

Re: Yacht Tracking for family and friends back home

We have been using an Iridium Go for the last four years and with our airtime via PredictWind for the last two years. We have also cruised in company with others boat using the InReach.

While the InReach works, we prefer the functionality of the tracking with the Iridium Go/Predictwind (You can see our track at: SV FLUENTA: How to Track Fluenta On-Line - PredictWind and YIT). We also were able to put our track automatically into the top of our blog page.

the folks of the zingaro used this site: https://quartermaster.me/. not sure how they integrated the map tracking on it. this is the link to their tracking link on their website.

I hope you found a solution as I see this post is a month old. Anyway I used Predictwind and Iridium Go on a South Atlantic crossing - very good system. However I did not see the value in the PW forecasts, and I did not appreciate them harvesting my credit card details, as I can download GRIBs from various sources for free and use them in OpenCPN or other routing software. So I use Winlink Express (free) with Iridium Go for GRIBS and an considering Farkwar or Following Sea for tracking - still comparing / searching for options. So if you have found something let me know. Regards Alan
