MANY were old enough to know better, ... yes, it was the partying thing with 'Usher' and other vulgar rap blasting on some cruisers.
Thanks for your input...N.E. Florida. That is where we'll be until our ultimate departure. Braving these afternoon thunderstorms on turf near St. Aug.

gearinup - You should definitely continue this thread but you should also PM Nicolle. She and Mark are somewhere between galapagos and the solomons(?) or Tahiti(?) I forget.

Nicolle followed Mark to the Carribean, picked up the boat with hiim and has already sailed the Panama canal and beyond. IIRC she was at about the same state as you are when we first heard from her.

And (from a guys perspective) ports of call definitely do not have to be a side show, drunk fest with everyone dropping thier tops and pants. I would actually say that is the exception rther than the rule...

I was once a newbie, too. You can read about some of my experiences on my blog A First Mate's Rules of the Roads. A First Mate's Rules of The Road
It's a new blog but I'm hoping other first mates will contribute their experiences. I hope it helps.
