Washing clothes

Take a look at this link...its mind blowing how effectively and compact it is!

Re: Washing clothes

It looks very promising. Kind of like a foot pedal sewing machine.

Has anyone tried one of these things?

Re: Washing clothes

I love gadgets and this looks like a cool one. $150 is a lot to spend on cool. I have seen other types for 1/3 the amount that you spin like a lettuce spinner.

One can also get a bucket and a toilet plunger and that would work well, too. A lot less expensive and the items can be multi-purposed.

But, if one looks closely, it appears this product isn't slated to come out until 2016. That's a long time to wait - my clothes are pretty stinky right now.

Re: Washing clothes

Maybe someday. For now, this product is not even available. And, as pointed out already, the target price on it is way higher than alternatives that are well proven and available right now, like a bucket and plunger, or this device...

Re: Washing clothes

I think the best thing about this is the ability to (somewhat) spin dry the clothes after draining. We'll likely have to stick with the old reliable bucket and plunger due to space and needing just about everything to do at least double duty.

Still I find this pretty interesting and if we where on a larger boat, I'd seriously consider it.

Re: Washing clothes

We pre ordered the Dolfi device. Seems like a great use for our home depot bucket.

Cool idea, and I love the idea of just tossing it in a bucket. Please let us know how it works.

Re: Washing clothes

Much cheaper, works just as well and you can use the buckets for other purposes.

Kit for hand washing clothes and laundry. Plunger washer and more.
