I have a large dog 80 lbs. I use one of those extendable leashes to allow him some room without giving him total freedom. When we are in close proximity to people he is locked in close at about 2 ft. In the middle East a huge black dog commands a bit of respect. They don't know he is friendly. Besides our walks are out in the dessert.

That would be like going crabbing and running over someone else's gear cause they had some homemade crap bouy. It will be all tangled up in your spokes. Bring a knife.
And a puller.
Also you will need to finish pulling said foofoo dog in order to help unentangle your derailluer. Don't skip this step, you wouldn't believe what is on the other end of these leashes sometimes.
Just put your own bouy on and re drop.
Don't forget to grade your catch!
