PENNY JUST FELL IN !

That's right - and what a scare it was for me too.

I thought she'd drowned - and searched in the water frantically - to then find - to my immense relief -

that she'd made it to shore - and was OK.

I have posted a copy of the email with the story - at our website:

http://thedogpaddler.com/EmailNewsle...ny_FELL_IN.htm

Have any other members had similar incidents - that aren't too distressing to tell.

It certainly knocked the stuffing out of me for a few minutes - floundering about in a panic.

"What do you mean we are off the hard on on the wet? Why the hell didn't you tell me?"

Glad she is OK.

Delmarrey

You're right!

Absolutely. She's got one - but it's in our other runabout - that hasn't come here yet.

She even likes wearing it - the prima donna - that she is.

But you get lax - thinking it's all normal and OK - and then THIS happens.

It could have turned out VERY bad - we were lucky.

Max has fallen in at the Marina seven times in four years. It is usually when he is fooling around or staring at a Lady Dog. It is bloody hard to pull out a soggy 48kg Shepherd. Then you get soaked as he shakes it all off.

Hi Rodney,
when cooper first started sailing he wasnt that keen on going out to the boat because the tender was a very old folding dingy and he simply didnt like the flopy floor. When we got to the boat he soon relised that it was just like jumping up on the back of my ute. Problem solved. We would wander out and I would say "get on the back" and up he would jump. UNTIL one night ....no not your dark and stormy kind, the exact oposite. Not a breath of wind to stir the pond and a huge bright moon. The water looked like shiny concrete. I said "get on the back" and cooper decided that he was going to go for a little walk (perhaps to have a quick piss on the bow). So he deftly jumped over the side on to this hard shiny surface ...AND....it was at this point that after being together 24 - 7 for 10 years that I realised that I had never seen him properly swim !! There was no way that I could hall him back into the dingy so I quickly tied the painter onto his colar and gently rowed him back to shore. Boy was he bloody happy with himself. He always gets excited AFTER a bath but this was the ultimate. We went back out to the boat and he walked up the side (and has done ever since even though he is now nearly 14). I sort of stopped shaking and had a beer. Istoped shaking and had a beer I beer had a stop i shaking a beer had a stop i got pissed....

Never seems to fall off the boat Coops. Only the marina.
How do you get your thumbnail link to show? I tried the insert file, and then the iMG in brackets each side of the URL and it aint working tonight. Then you go and do it!

Punching the crap out of the keyboard helps......I have had problems uploading for a few days now. The insert file management bit has a think and then goes blank and sits there. After doing it over and over it somtimes goes through, this time 5 times !! I dont really have the patience to keep trying. I didnt mean that max would fall off I meant that he would make great rail balast.

That's what happened to me so I just posted the URL address. Yeah Max is good ballast. He is on a diet at the moment though.

I haven't had any problems adding pictures to the postings - just by clicking on the 'picture icon' - and then putting in the URL - where it is.

But you will have had to upload the photo somewhere already.

If you want to add a picture from your computer - direct - then you'll need to use the 'attachments' button - and it will appear as a thumbnail with a link.

If you already knew all this - then - Sorry.

Rodney you would travel like that if you could, but I have a feeling that Penny may not be that stronger swimmer when its her turn to give you a ride.
