Well done and good luck! We sailed with our 6 month old son born in Gibraltar, he was 4 by the time we got back to Australia.

Get that netting up all around the lifelines.....and always be aware where he is at all times!!

I'll see you down the coast somewhere.

With my Shawn Breeding and Heahter Bansmer's guidebook, I've been planning our 1st time trip. Would welcome any helpful experienced insights from those of you that have sailed the area before. The "must do and see"....etc...We'll be sailing between La Paz and Bahia Aqua Verde, including Isla Espiritu Santo, Isla Partida and Isla San Francisco. Any helpful info appreciated!!

the one yr old might wanna have someone older share helm duties on occasion-- might not be able to see over the wheel.....there are many families i have run into cruising in the sea of cortez--you guys will have a great time. so will youngster.

No kids sailing with us...I didn't mean to depart from the theme of your thread regarding sailing with kids. I went a head and started another thread so as not to take away from the purpose of this thread. Have a great time in the Sea of Cortez.
