offshore wet weather gear for kids?

Hi,
I am having trouble finding offshore wet weather gear for my kids (8 and 11). shops in NSW seem to sell dingy sailing gear. I was going to just get some some decent rain coats, but am even having trouble finding good quality ones, and as for pants, the best i can come up with is ski pants. When we were kids you could get those yellow heavy duty raincoats, hats and pants that looked liked old school fishermans gear.....

Im wondering what other cruising families put their kids in if out at sea on cold mornings, wet days, (and also for the emergency that will never happen - but if the worst happened I want to know ive got something half decent to dress them in in the life raft for example).
