Everything that needed to be done was done at the vet, except we had them "up" on their shots before leaving the Chesapeake months before. The 48-hours (24 hours) poses a different problem, especially for us who spend the

weather windows for crossing the
gulf stream open and close. We ask the vet not to date the form, they tell us "sorry, they are required to," but then they "forget" – but we've never heard of any cruisers having problems with forms dated a few days or even weeks before (that doesn't mean it hasn't happened or won't happen).
