Cat boarding in Sea of Cortez?
Is anyone aware of a place in La Paz, San Carlos, or nearby that boards cats?
We're going to the U.S. for a month and prefer to do this versus schlepping the kitty there and back.
Thanks!

Re: Cat boarding in Sea of Cortez?
That's a relief to read the details of your question. I thought at first this was a new style of cat burglar doing boat boardings and robbery. Or maybe it was Mexican cats trained to rob. Silly me.

That's hilarious! I see what you mean. I'll see if I am allowed to edit the title.
Can't edit the original. Guess there's a time limit.

I thought it was a torture, like water boarding, but with cats.

I don't think such a business exists in San Carlos, but you might contact these people and ask for a possible referral or advice. Staff are volunteers and animal lovers, so good chance they could help point you in the right direction at least. Their main activity is doing spay/neutering of feral cats and dogs to control overpopulation and suffering. SBPA San Carlos

Found this listing that might help. Chicane's post looks like a promising lead.

Re: Cat boarding in Sea of Cortez?
Your best bet here will be to find another Cruiser to watch the cat for you.
The Culture down there doesn't look at Cats the same way and the thought of spending money to feed or board one would be...well....

Re: Cat boarding in Sea of Cortez?
For possible boarding options in La Paz, you may want to refer to the services list provided by Club Cruceros of La Paz ( http://www.clubcruceros.net/pdf/service_directory.pdf) and contact the various veterinarian contacts with your query. Good luck.

HA HA HA, got to be fast around here. Best tacos I ever ate, downtown Tijuana, 1972, not a stray dog or cat for miles! Hot sauce make everything taste great. LOL
