Caribbean Sailing Communities

We are looking for family friendly sailing communities in the Caribbean. Our first big stop will be George Town in the Bahamas. We have a 6 and 4 year old. What other destinations do people recommend to join family friendly sailing communities?

I keep hearing about these 'sailing communities' but have yet to meet any that take their boats out of the marina..
In the Med every winter (Oct-April) boats would gather in various marinas but communities were few as most flew home..
The best I came across was in Agua Dulce, Spain where liveaboards would gather and get social, even then each year 60% + would be uptight newcomers who would take a while to blend, if at all.
