Are dogs allowed on shore in Guatemala and/or Belize?

Planning to head south this year and wondering about whether our dog will be allowed on shore in Belize and Guatemala. Noonsite says 'dogs are not allowed to land' in Guatemala. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

We do not have pets but we know plenty of people who bring dogs into Guatemala and Belize, there are regulations, restrictions and costs involved but I do not know what they are.

Why don't you post the question on one of the forums on the riodulcechisme site and ask there?
