You know how we planned to head off next May to the islands? Wellllllll, I've just been "urged to apply" for a job at the South Pole for a year!!!
True story, if Sue gets a job as well (highly likely) we come out of it with enough money to cruise comfortably for 10 years without working.
Do I get her drunk first and then broach the subject or should I be brave & talk before the wine flows? I don't want to get trapped in the "but it's a really good job and it's only for a while" syndrome but wintering at the pole has always been one of my dreams and Sue has wanted to do it as well.

Go for it Pete. After watching the series of "Ice", I was thinking what a lucky son/daughter of a gun you two were being down there. I would love to do that.
