Mexican beer often comes in clear bottles, which shows they don't know the first thing about beer.

One quick way to judge weather a beer might be worth sampling is to look at the bottles.
- Clear glas: Avoid at all cost. Beer does not survive 20 minutes in sunlight. What do you think a few days on the shelves of a shop will do?
- Green glass: Thanks to Heineken the world things this is OK. Heineken's management should be tried for crimes against beer.
- Brown bottle: The brewer at least knows that beer needs to be protected from light, so he might know how to brew it well too.

Thankfully Interbrew hasn't managed to stamp out real ales...

One thing you can find everywhere however is people complaining that "you can't get X here"...

I was merely curious as to the cultural tendencies and logistical or marketplace black holes that still exist in today's ever converging world. Not necessarily complaining. I enjoy the diversity of different cultures and their marketplaces and people, otherwise I would never have left home.

I guess the same first two stages must go for root beer.

... a taste I have no prospect, or intention, of acquiring.

Re: What Can you not find in Certain Countries While Cruising?

Speaking of breastmilk (says a breastfeeding mother), you can't find disposable nursing pads in Mexico (correction, I found one box, one time, in Mega.)

It is hard to find a toilet in Mexico with an actual toilet seat on it.

Mexicans apparently think all feminine products should be perfumed. Trying to find pads or pantyliners that don't reek like chamomile is practically impossible. Not a good thing for a lady with sensitive skin.

I would dare to say the number of countries I have visited in the world that do not have toilet seat, or actual toilets for that matter, far outweigh the number that do. Some though are nice enough to provide little foot patterns in floor!!

I was surprised by how often places I visited in Rome didn't have toilet seats either.

It is bizarre to me though, when a bathroom will have all of the other 'fixin's,' like a toilet paper holder, paper towels, soap dispenser with soap, but the toilets don't have seats.
