These under sink portable 600 gallon/day
reverse osmosis machines have peeked my interest to incorporate on my
boat:

While there are many available of questionable quality… would these be feasable for just
drinking water use or
emergency use? I have a large
LiFePo4 bank (420Ah) with plenty solar/wind, and my trusty
perkins 4.107 as backup power to run these little (to be determined) miracles.
To be clear, this machine wont be used to fill my fresh
water holding tank but just to fill pitchers for
drinking water to conserve onboard
water storage when i have excess energy to burn or am motoring.
Looking for feedback before i pull the trigger on this risky idea.
btw, replacement filters and membranes are relatively
cheap for these compared to
marine desalinators..
thanks for your feedback, concerns or experiences!
