Spectra Newport 400 connect watermaker

Our watermaker has stopped working, and we are stuck on a mooring in the Caribbean. We would be grateful for any advice that might be available.
When we initiate a cycle, the boost pump turns on, the display panel indicates a pressure of between 15 - 20 psi, the filter quality is good. There is a click from the main motor, but it does not engage. After about thirty seconds there is another click as the motor disengages; the system then tries to restart but will then stop after another failed attempt.
We can not even initiate a fresh water rinse.
We have replaced the 30 amp blade fuse, the plastic cover of which had melted.
We have recharged the batteries which are now reading 13+ volts.
However the Spectra still does not kick in.
Any suggestions as to what we can try on board would be welcome?
We have emailed Spectra but they are also trying to cope with other customers online due to the pandemic.

We sorted the problem. It was a dirty commutator in the motor preventing a charge from spinning it up.
