Sober

Is anybody here absolutely 100% drug free?

No caffeine, no alcohol, no cigarettes, no pot, no other consciousness altering substances?

I am just wondering, I have recently given up on most of these, and I sincerely wonder if there is anyone that does none of them!

Oh you master of logic you... just remember, you can't send me to jail for what I imply, only what I explicate.

Is anyone really sober?

I have a glass of wine every now and then. I am close, but no cigar! (pun intended)

Yep. Nicolle. Never smoked even 1 cigarette, doesn't drink alchol at all, no coffee, no drugs and just a cup of tea occasionally. Is tea on the forbidden list?

Of all the above were trying to kick the worst stuff. The toxic poisonous crap offered as food here. Hydrogenated, preserved, processed, fractionated, modified, pesticide laced, refined, bleached, heavy metal containing, hormone infused crap. Causes more death and illness than smoking drugs and drinking combined.

haven't done any of the above for 23 years...had an absolute BLAST sailing from the US to NZ the last 2 years....who needs it...I see that stuff as detracting from my experience not adding to it

MarkJ - Many teas contain more caffeine than coffee, and chocolate contains the most.

I don't indulge in any of the substances listed, but moderating Cruisers Forum has caused me to re-consider my principles.

I agree about the food. My step-mother is a nutritionist, so I have heard it many times. I mostly eat organic veggies, and try to steer clear of processed food. The difference between fresh squeezed organic orange juice and stuff evacuated from a frozen tube is pretty incredible.

It's good to hear that there are people out there totally sober. I am working towards that, mostly as an experiment, but maybe for a long time.

Yes, I know what you mean. I often read this forum and need a block of chocolate.

My grandfather has not done any of those in 20 years... of course, being dead helps.

For myself, tea, coffee and alcolhol, but the other stuff that you inhale, inject or snort is right out.

I look at it this way, the chinese have been drinking tea for 5000 years with no ill effects. It strikes me that as far as marketing testing goes, it forms a good sized consumer sample. Ditto for europeans and wine. I'm less sure about coffee but I do like it.
