Your right, once you put a reg on it, it's technically no longer O2 clean. On my Deco bottle I never remove the reg except to fill in the attempt to keep it clean.

I didn't mean to start an O2 clean debate, just to explain O2 under pressure is very dangerous is all, respect it.

Cruising around Penobscot Bay - a long way from home in LI Sound when the propane tanks ran out. My fault for not checking the tanks before we left. But fortunately a block from the docks in Belfast, ME is Consumer Fuel which refilled the 10lb tanks for $11 each and re-certified the aluminum tank for just $12. Quite a bargain. At home no one wants to bother with re-certifying or if they do it's way over $50 bucks.
