As with anything on an alcohol stove, pressure cooking will be much slower [than /w a proper fuel ]

Quick, before you leave CAirns, go cruise the op shops. Pressure cookers have kinda gone out of style in the dirt dwelling world, and we've seen a few over the years going for peanuts.

We carry two of them, and use them as primary cooking vessels at sea whether pressurized or not. The secure lid is a big advantage in bad sea condx.
