Angry Portlight Screens

Anybody know a company that makes portlight screens custom? I have a Flicka 20 and need to replace some of the screens which went into the water.

Shape ovular--stick into the window. Don't know what the frame material is which holds the screen.
Thanks in advance,
Susan

Re: Portlight Screens

I think the frame may be brass or bronze and the screen, which might be copper or brass is soldered on. Maybe a lost art so most of us glue on new screen

Re: Portlight Screens

Don't know where to buy them but want to tell you how I solved the problem. I have lewmar portlights. I removed the "o" ring seal and cut ovals out of fiber glass screen to fit. Sealed the screen in place with lite amount of silicon seal replaced the "o" ring and now have permanent screens.

The ports are brass. Screens are not part of the ports. Come out. Two ovular frames--charcoal grey--firm substance--are bonded together. In between is the screen.

Re: Portlight Screens

I sounds like you have the oval ports. Take a look at the Pacific Seacraft group on SailNet. A quick search there found this https://www.sailnet.com/forums/pacif...l-screens.html . There are many similar threads there describing both purchased and bought screens.
