Portable BBQ

I have the Dickinson Round Sea-b-que and love it. We've gone through a half-dozen different marine BBQs at this point, and the round Dickinson is the only one so far that's been able to stand up to serious wind.

Pricey, however.

My Dickonson Sea-B-Que needs a new burner but it took the burner mount with it when it rusted so I guess I'm buying a new one. I don't know how old it is but they're not cheap so I find it disappointing that the mount would rust. Mind you, it desn't have a cover and though I've only had the boat a couple of months I don't think its ever been covered.

The Cobb grill is genius. We picked one up in South Africa while we were there - the SA's are even bigger on the ol BBQ than us americans and all the local yachties had em. You can roast a chicken with only 9 briquettes (spelling?). It also is not hot so you can either throw it in the dink and go ashore or do it in your cockpit.

Only complaint is it doesnt get that nice direct heat grilled steak or burger that you get on a traditional grill...

Has tons of accessories and all fit into it when it is stowed. Works great for us.

Any one know a marine store that ships internationally in the USA that stocks the Cobb grill? I have been trying to order one from Cobb America in Florida for a week, and I give up. They refer me to their software, and this country is not on the abbreviated list of countries on their online ordering software. I email their customer support and say I cannot get the order to work on the website, and twice now their answer has been that the order should work on the website. I give up.

Target stocks em, but doesn't ship outside the US. West Marine does ship outside the US, but doesn't stock them...

the solaire gas grill uses infrared technology .. same as the big steak houses. but expensive.

I don't much care for the taste of food cooked over gas flame. That Cobb system looks just about right for the two of us.
