Polypropylene water tanks.......

Anyone have any insight into the quality of polypropylene tanks for drinking water.....

Toxicity?
Taste?
Polypropylene vs polythylene?

Thanks in advance...

Re: Polypropylene water tanks.......

I believe they are FDA "approved."

Not sure that is too meaningful...........

Re: Polypropylene water tanks.......

I had my water and diesel tanks out of Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) - nice, flexible. The water was always good and the diesel never had any growth in it. Very happy with them.

Re: Polypropylene water tanks.......

Had polyethylene on our Yankee 30, no flavor problems, can be carefully welded if cracked.

Have also had good water quality from Vetus hypalon bladders and s/s tanks.
