Re: Poll: Favorite Bars and Pubs

Well if anyone ever gets to the Aegean Ios has the biggest bar scene . Mykonos is full of drugs as is Ibiza and Aya Napa. Bodrum has a good strip to the south of the castle around the Halicarnassus night club. Efes beer is brilliant and cheap. Fethiye is busy with poms. Kas has a nice little area just near the towns main harbour.
On Rottnest Island off Fremantle, WA the old Quokka Arms used to be good but it has gone up market and lost a bit of its appeal.
Lymington in Hampshire near the Isle of Wight has a great pub with a huge beer garden but I have forgotten it's name lol.
Used to enjoy Harbour Lights in Barbados, don't know if it's still going.

. my hometown - Up the New Riverr in Fort Lauderdale on the port just past the FEC railway bridge and with docks,... "The Pirate Republic".
Second that. The Pirate Republic has changed name 3 times the last 15 years.
Best known as Shirttail Charlie's with their own water taxi service. (Not anymore)
The food has been upgraded lately, fancy sea food, highly recommended.
Great view and free docking.
I tie up there at least once a week.

The Wreck Bar in St. Croix has been a steady hang out over the years, also No-Bone Cafe.

Staniel Cay's Thunderball bar on the hilltop was great for happy hour with beer and fresh conch. (Possible out of business)

I could go on, been to 110 countries so far and been thirsty in every one of them, got a looong list of bars I really enjoyed.

Bei Otto's in Bangkok stands out, my favorite over there, on Sukumuvitch Road
If memory serves right.

Hot Men's Club in Jakarta was a good one, highs recommended.

The Bricklayer's Arm in London, next to Oxford Street, nice.

The Piano Bar in Trondheim, Norway. Pricey but worth it.

All bars in Bimini, Bahamas, enjoyed 'me all after a long Gulf Stream crossing.
